Place of Production:
Longjing tea is mainly produced in places such as Longjing Village, West Lake District, Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China, near the West Lake Scenic Area. The humid climate, unique soil and moderate altitude of this region provide the ideal growing environment for Longjing tea. The production area of West Lake Longjing is divided into six main villages, each of which produces tea with its own unique flavor.

Characteristics:
Longjing tea is known for its flat and straight leaf shape, which is named after the tender green color of the tea leaves that resemble armored dragon's whiskers. Its characteristic flat and straight shape helps to maintain the tea's original color and nutrients. Characteristics of Longjing tea include high and refreshing fragrance, fresh and crisp taste, and tender green soup color with typical flower and fruit aroma, which is fresh and pleasant to the palate.

Brewing method:
When brewing Longjing tea, fresher water is usually used and the temperature is controlled at around 80°C to maintain the tender green color of the tea leaves. The following is a common brewing method:

Take an appropriate amount of Longjing tea leaves into a teacup or teapot.
Fill with hot water around 80°C and steep for about 1-3 minutes.
Longjing tea leaves usually do not need to be brewed several times, but if you wish to experience the multi-layered flavor of the tea, you can also extend the steeping time moderately.
Unique production process:
The unique production process of Longjing tea generally includes killing, shaking, kneading and baking. Among them, the killing process of Longjing tea is the key step, which instantly kills the enzyme activity in the tea leaves through high temperature to maintain the tender green color of the tea leaves. Shaking and kneading help to form the flat shape of the tea leaves.

Cultural Value:
Longjing tea has rich cultural connotations and is closely associated with traditional Chinese literati, literature and art. As one of the representatives of Chinese green tea, Longjing tea is often revered in tea ceremonies, scholarly gatherings and other cultural occasions. Longjing tea also plays an important role in the Chinese tea ceremony, where tea masters often demonstrate the brewing process of Longjing tea with elegant movements and elaborate utensils.
